Madam Justice Cameron is a judge in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, Court of Appeal. She received a B.A. from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1967 and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 1971. She was called to the Bar of Newfoundland and Labrador in 1972. Justice Cameron practiced with the firm of Thoms, Fowler, Rowe and Barry from 1972 to 1975. From 1975 to 1981 she was a solicitor with the Department of Justice, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and from January 1981 to September 1983 she served as Associate Deputy Minister of that Department. Justice Cameron was appointed to
the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador in September of 1983.
She was presiding judge of the Unified Family Court until September of
1985 and served in the Trial Division until May of 1992 when she was
appointed a judge of the Court of Appeal. |
